OHC #2: Tabitha Sharpe

Name: Tabitha Sharpe
Nicknames: Tabby

Age: 14
Hometown: Clayton
Profession: Student

Hair Color/Eye Color: Blonde Hair/Green Eyes
Any Important Physical Characteristics?: Long straight hair; on the short side; slightly chubby; freckles on her face

Mother: Samantha Sharpe
Father: Walter Sharpe
Siblings: Ian, Lucas, Kevin, and Danielle Sharpe
Significant Other: none
Children: none
Best Friend: Emily Clouse

A Brief History: Tabby lives in a small town where she feels isolated and alone. She is the youngest of five children. Her sister, Danielle, is twenty-seven and moved to the big city nine years ago. Tabby is best friends with Emily. They two are very shy. They both enjoy writing poetry and painting. Ian, Lucas and Kevin were all high school sports stars. Tabby feels like an after thought to her parents.

What is Going on With This Character Right Now?: Working on her role play blog that she co-writes with Emily.

Tabitha Sharpe is a tough nut to crack. She is immensely shy and does not really open up to any. She is much more comfortable pretending to be something she is not than she is being herself.
Tabby suspects that Emily is not really her friend. She feels like Emily is drifting away, wanting to desperately fit in with the local cheerleaders. Emily is a skinny girl, while Tabitha is larger.
Tabitha has never had a boyfriend; she is still young. That being said, Tabby sometimes daydreams about her first kiss. One of the members on her role playing blog got her thinking about what it might feel like to kiss a girl. Tabby is wondering if thinking makes her gay or bisexual. She fears that if she talks about her thoughts out loud she will be even more shunned in the eyes of her family.
Samantha Sharpe works long hours at the local hair salon. Every night, Tabitha makes dinner for the four men in her family. Samantha usually just grabs a piece of fruit when she finally gets home. Tabitha is so isolated and hidden.

I currently have no plans for Tabitha to appear in any upcoming stories, but, hey!, you know never know.

OHC #1: Zander Jones

Name: Alexander Jones
Nicknames: Zander

Age: 25
Hometown: August, New York
Profession: Bartender at RO Inn

Hair Color/Eye Color: Black Hair and Brown Eyes
Any Important Physical Characteristics?: Hair is on the long side; rather pale; despite being a football player in high school, Zander would be considered lanky

Mother: Farah Donahue
Father: Travis Jones
Siblings: Nic Donahue (older sister)
Significant Other: none; potential - Brianne O’Locke
Children: none
Best Friend: Patrick O’Locke

A Brief History: Grew up in August; lived with his father all his life; did not know about his sister until he was in his early twenties; mother is very eccentric; played football in high school and had dreams of playing in college; desperately wants to get out of August, but feels a strong tie to his community and especially to the people associated with RO Inn.

What is Going on With This Character Right Now?: He is currently serving diet soda to a lonely Dr. Gretchen de Milo at RO Inn.

Zander is currently set to appear in a series I am now working on. He is not a lead character, but is a strong supporting. He is a lot of fun! Zander has a tense relationship with Brianne O’Locke, a maid at RO Inn. She also happens to be his boss’ daughter. Bri and Zander knew one another before she went away to college. Bri surprised everyone when she decided to return home after graduating. Zander dubbed her Dorothy, much to her chagrin.
The two constantly bicker, but have a mutual respect for one another. Every time I write a scene for them, I sense a lot of history. I am still trying to figure out if something happened between them while they were in high school together. . . To add even more stress on their potential friendship, Zander is best friends with Bri’s brother, Patrick, who is not exactly sunshine and roses. Patrick has been known to get into trouble a time or two – and he tends to bring Zander down with him! It is definitely hard to say how Patrick would feel about Zander hanging around his little sister; Zander and Bri unconsciously hide their relationship (whatever it may be) from her brother.
Zander did not know his mother or sister until he was twenty-one years old. He grew up in a single parent household, uh, hotel suite. His dad, Travis Jones, is the head of security at RO Inn and is close friends with the two owners Ian O’Locke and Scotty Russo. Zander’s mom, Farah Donahue, is a loose canon. She is flighty and has only made a commitment once in her life: when she was twenty-two, Farah vowed to be the best mother she could be to her daughter Nichole. Zander was a fluke and she gave him up to live with his father in New York, while Farah and Nichole tried for fame and stardom in Los Angeles.

Zander has a lot of secrets and is a very complex character. To say that I am looking forward to exploring with him would be an understatement.

One Hundred Characters is a writing journal where I will be creating just that – one hundred characters. Some of the characters will be written into stories that I am writing, while others will exist purely for the purpose of getting to know them for a moment.

My goal is to have One Hundred Characters by March 1, 2012.

The basic format will answer the following questions:
